This family home was designed as a modern interpretation of the original house, which had been in the family for generations. The goal was to honour the home’s history while bringing a fresh, contemporary feel to the spaces. To achieve this, we embraced a “contemporary classic” design philosophy, blending timeless elements with modern touches. The result is a home that feels elegant and enduring, while still being comfortable and liveable for today’s lifestyle.
A significant source of inspiration for the design was the family’s remarkable collection of artwork. Each piece, carefully curated over the years, played a key role in shaping the direction of the furnishings and overall aesthetic. The colour palette and textures were chosen to complement and highlight the artwork, allowing it to remain a focal point in the design. Every room was thoughtfully arranged to showcase the artwork while still maintaining a harmonious balance between function and style.
