The vision for this living room makeover was to create a versatile space that could seamlessly transition between two distinct moods throughout the year. In winter, the aim was to evoke the cosy, inviting atmosphere of a ski chalet—a place where warmth and comfort take centre stage. This was achieved through rich, textured fabrics, warm-toned wood accents, and a fireplace that becomes the heart of the room during colder months. The use of soft throws, plush rugs, and layered lighting added to the sense of snugness and retreat, perfect for curling up on chilly evenings.

When summer arrives, the room takes on a completely different feel, inspired by the breezy, relaxed ambiance of a Northern beach house. Light, airy furnishings and coastal-inspired colours bring a refreshing vibe, creating a sense of openness and calm. By incorporating elements such as natural fibres, lighter fabrics, and a palette drawn from the sea and sky, the space invites the cool breeze in, making it an ideal summer sanctuary.

The dual-purpose design allows the living room to adapt beautifully to each season, offering the best of both worlds—cosiness in winter and a light, refreshing escape in summer.
