Did you know My Beautiful Abode offers online design services? We recently completed a project for a Sydney client who described a room within her home as ‘soulless’. With our online support, she now has a room that is warm and nurturing- the polar opposite to soulless. Project signed, sealed and delivered from over 870 kilometres away by the My Beautiful Abode studio here in Melbourne.
Our online service is popular with rural and regional clients, Fly In Fly Out families as well as interstate clients. It’s perfect for self-reliant people who need our assistance with sourcing pieces and finishes for their space and our practical support empowers clients to create beautiful, considered spaces within their home with the considered guidance of an interiors specialist.
Our process with working with our online clients isn’t overly dissimilar to that of our local clients. Instead of a home visit we have a phone, Skype or FaceTime conversation, we are emailed images of the spaces to be designed, decorated or styled, as well as adjoining rooms. Clients complete our brief which details the function and purposes of the room, existing furniture or artwork to be included, requests, desires, and must-avoids. From the phone/Skype/FaceTime conversation, room images and client brief, we create a lookbook for the room, as well as a carefully curated shopping list with local (to the client) showrooms and suppliers for them to visit.
The vision behind all our work at My Beautiful Abode is to help people create their sanctuary- a well-resolved interior space to welcome their family and friends, the place where they are comfortable and content. Our online service means we can offer our expertise to people regardless of geographical boundaries- how beautiful is that?
